Movie Review: Saheb Biwi aur Gangster Returns

There are some directors who make films which are so good that you need time for those films to sink in..... Saheb Biwi aur Gangster Returns is one of those. 
SBAGR takes the story forward from where the SBAG ended.Each and every character is perfect to represent the Royalty.

Jimmy Shergill who is bound to wheelchair but with his high spirits he grabs 10/10 for his kick ass performance. His emotions are expressed through his eyes and I must say the way he carries royalty and class throughout the film is not easy. His dialogue delivery is amazing and the way he says 'Sarkar ne humaari daulat toh cheen li, par fitrat nahi cheen paaye.'

Irrfan Khan the highest point of this film, the best acting of this year atleast. He will make you laugh and there are scenes where viewers can feel his pain. Irrfan is a perfect Gangster here. His character shows how Rajputs/Thakurs cant give up when it comes to pride. Irrfan is the soul of this film do watch this film for Indrajeet Singh.

Mahie Gill.. the hero of this film who plays slutty-royal-wife. Trust me you cant neglect Mahie the actor or Madhvi the character. At the same time you cant stop admiring her accomplishments with the brain and later you feel sorry for her. This time she is more aggressive, more ambitious and now she can go to any extent to get Aditya Pratap's attention.

Soha Ali Khan she has a small role in the film but she has done justice to her character.Her role gets strong when the story reaches it climax stage.

Must say Tigmanshu Dhulia is the master of  Dialogues, like 
'Bahut sasti ho chuki ho tum. Tumhe dene ke liye hamare paas chillar bhi nahin hai.’ 
‘hamare toh gaaliyon pe bhi taaliyan padti hai.'
'Jung hogi... ghamasan hogi...'
'Hume mard hi kyu milte hai... Shayar kyun nahi milte!'

Saheb Biwi aur Gangster Returns is a story of Lust, Lies, Royalty, Politics, Pride. There are many twists and turns in the film.. the film is little draged, the climax is excellent but editing is equally bad.  It is not as good as first film but do watch it for its characters and dialogues.

Ohh Womaniyaaa

I strongly believe that the strongest thing in this world is Women. God created a beautiful world and filled it with beautiful people – women. And just to appreciate their power, beauty and grace, He created men. However much a man can try, but he can never match a woman's self control, inner strength and will to move forward. A man has strong bones, but can never look into the eyes of a woman with conviction. There is a reason why she is not physically stronger than man. And the reason is she doesn't need that brute strength. Her one gaze is enough.

If men are physically strong don't forget women are emotionally strong.. 

And today I would like salute some most beautiful women in my life:

• Maa: Maata shri... she is my life, my backbone.. Maa always taught me that no matter how sad you are in your life, don't hurt anyone. Thank you maa for giving me full freedom to live my life in my own ways... You just need one person to believe in you and she is that one person... Whenever things go wrong I just need one hug from her and m ready to face the world. Love you Maa. :*

• Dheera (10-6 = Mam, after 6pm = Maaaate) :D She is my boss.. she is my friend.. she is my helpline number.. my gol - gappe partner.. She is a true inspiration for every girl who believes in her dreams. She taught me that there is nothing wrong or right, its how you look at it..... and things always fall into place end of the day... My day is incomplete without meeting her. PS: You're my pumpkin pumpkin, hello honey bunny *runs and hides* :P :D

• Farheen Mam: The sexiest October baby... yeah! thats what I call her... My Delhi trip is incomplete without her... One good thing about Farheen mam is that I don't need to think before calling her if she is in town she will take out time and come to GIP Costa coffee :D She is a blessing, a true Rockstar.

• Shweta: Yo Chaps!! :P Shweta knows me for almost a decade now.. from school to junior college to BMM ... from school  mid terms to board exams.. from board exams to grad semesters. Shweta was always there.. We talk to each other ONLY when one of us is in deep shit and the other person cant do anything about it... :P Thank you Chap for giving friendship a new meaning.... :)

• Aarzoo Aunty: We hit off as if we know each other since ages.. but the truth is we never met each other.. she is my khurafaati partner, I don't have to say anything to her half of the time we sail in same boat :-P we share the same passion towards music, books, her entire family is close to me and I promise aunty very soon I will fly to Hyderabad just to meet you Beno and Allu. <3 Love you guys.

 

• Lastly... I will not name her but she is a dear friend who taught me what Friendship is... Bada wala thankyou for those reality checks and thanks for teaching me what not to do in life... You always told me Rish don't regret these lessons help you to see the bigger picture and move ahead in life.... :)

Memories... They make us, they break us

Forget it. A phrase which is easy to say but equally difficult when it comes to implementing it. Forgetting something is as difficult as remembering. In these years of my life I realized that we cant control everything and memories are one of them. When we live our life in our style we create memories. Those good times when we smile without worrying about future.... are memories. Those moments when we live our life king size are memories....

But there are some memories which are not welcomed by our thoughts. These are those memories we wish to forget and move on. We don't understand that these are the memories we cherished, these are the memories which are closest to hearts.

Things cant be good all the time... Bad memories always teach us something. These bad memories leave scars but they also teach us what not to do in life. Also sometimes good memories turn into bad ones.

These memories break us because of those good memories we go back to our past and think of what happened, how things changed and these memories have the tendency to break us and sometimes we thrive because of these memories.....

Again, I say forget it and move on...

Bucket List 2013

There are some things you want to achieve in life but now when m a working woman I dont want to forget what I want... Some of my targets are:

1. Travel more... note to self :-P don't leave any chance to travel be it any place.. Live upto your expectation of having atleast 6 (small) vacations. ;)

2. Click more..2012 was a dull period for my photography.. yea thats my mistake because I was busy running behind some useless people. But not again..

3. Forget people.. Forget people and move ahead.. yea yea many of you told me to move on in life.. Now I promise I will not cry for anyone, but they will be remembered in good times..

4. Watch more movies... try and watch all movies.. live life queen size.

5. Save Money... jee haan high time I should start saving some money to buy a new phone.

6. Avoid attachments... YES avoid getting attached to people and be practical..

7. Read more... In 2013 i want to ready more about Shiva and Krishna...

So this is it.... heres wishing everyone a very happy new year may god and government bless us. :)

Delhi.. the city of my Dreams....

Whenever anyone talks about Delhi it takes me back to good old school days, Air Force days.. Even though m away from Delhi for almost 11yrs now but my love for that city is unconditional... Delhi always takes me back into the golden era with panache.

The city that is well known for its weather Extreme hot in Summers and extremely chilly in winters perfect weather to die for. One city where you can enjoy each and every season with warm and loving people and colorful festivals. :)

 Delhi, the capital of India, a city of richness, diversity and power. Dilli, as it is fondly called, is indeed the heart of India... but when somebody says Delhi is unsafe, logo ko tameez nahi hai... it hurts :( this is the city that nurtured me and taught me ethics and values... Probably that is the reason inspite of living in Mumbai for almost 11yrs that Delhi touch is still there in my language....

Delhi has come a long way since the old times. After bagging the prestigious title of India’s capital, Delhi has carved a niche for itself. One of India’s fastest growing cities; it illustrates a beautiful example of the past and the present living together. While the Walled City, our very own integral Old Delhi still dazzles in its ancient charm, the New Delhi is an icon of development. State of the art residential complexes, breathtaking shopping complexes, grand skyscrapers, Delhi has several architectural marvels under its belt.

But today when I hear about Rape cases every other day.. It kills me. I feel this is not the Delhi I grew up in this is not the place where my Angels live.. This is not the city that taught me how to live... But thanks to some amazing people in my life like Anu, Farheen mam, Manu, Anuraag, Yatin, Ish, Raka, Akanksshi who taught me that Diversity of the City is evident from the fact that nobody in the city feels to be a misfit! There would be friends of friends, cousins, distant relations or neighbors of someone living in Delhi making it a home away from home! :)

But to be honest from the bottom of my heart I feel Delhi is a beautiful city. A city which is well-known for its hospitality. No wonder, it has been destroyed and rebuilt numerous times . The charming forts of Delhi are its soul, tucked away in timeless peace, serenity and beauty.

As they say..... Dil ki basti purani dilli hai ~ jo bhi gujra hai usne loota hai....

Delhi has always welcomed everyone with an open mind and heart... and it has only one thing to offer... Unconditional Love... 

Ek tha TIGER... REALLY?

November 17, 2012 a day that I will never forget.. For the first time in my life I got a chance to see the glimpse of Bombay in Mumbai.... One mans death and the entire city stopped… when alive he could shut down the city after all fear was the key and now when he passed away guess what Emotion is the key.

Yesterday Offices in Mumbai closed down earlier than normal. Many shops in busy areas of the city were shut down. Roads in many parts of the usually bustling financial capital teeming with a sea of humanity were unusually quiet. Medical stores were forced to shut, Multiplexes decided not to screen any movie. Shootings in film city and other studios were stopped. Wondering what brought Maximum City to a halt?

Bal Thackeray started his career as a cartoonist with an English newspaper but later he began Marmik, a Marathi weekly for, by and of the Marathi people. Balasaheb always knew the people were frustrated. He had a knack of feeling the pulse of his people.

For some people Balasaheb was a Superhero, for some he was a terrorist. For some people he united the state and for some he evoked feelings of divide and rule. Viewpoint differs from person to person. What is right and what is wrong even I don’t know bt all I can say is that Bal Thackeray has surely got the power to bring Mumbai a city that never sleeps to a Halt. For most it’s the fear while for others it’s the respect. In the end just one question Respect causes Fear or Fear causes Respect?

May Bal Thackeray’s Soul rest in peace….

Tumhi Ho Bandhu Sakha Tumhi....

Cocktail is been there done that movie types. It is the 21st century version of  Kuch Kuch Hota Hain. Cocktail is all about three friends Gautam (Saif Ali Khan) who is a true womaniser, Veronica (Deepika Padukone) she is intense, wild, maniser (new word ;)) and the third friend is Meera (Diana Penty) she is calm, introvert.
All the three characters go through the following emotions: Love, Lust, Friendship followed by Heartbreak. The strong part of the film is that all the three characters are strong especially it is Deepika's best performance of her career or you can say that Veronica is the man in the film. Saif is the soul of the film who thinks friendship and love are equally important and then there is Diana who is cool but her presence makes a difference in the film.



The dialogues in the film are catchy, straight to the point. Some of my favourite scenes are
When Gautam says, "Tum lonely ho aur main characterless."
Gautam talk to Veronica and Meera together about his feelings towards each of them. “Look. You love me. I love her. Let’s sort this mess out.”

Veronica tells Meera "Gautam se zyada tum zaroori ho." 
Veronica to Gautam: "tum mere liye wo ho, jo meera tumhare liye hai."

The music in the film is really good; every situation in the film has a touch of song. Though in the second half of the film all the songs are played in loop some scenes are dragged but we cant forget that the movie reveals its true colors in the second half. The thinking level of the characters is quite practical. Thankfully, Cocktail manages to hit quite a few high notes post-interval too.


On a personal note each and every person living in a metro city who is or was in love, or a person who is really close to their friend will connect to the movie. While watching the movie I missed some very good friends of mine.  I was able to relate myself to some scenes of the movie. So any person who loved and lived their relation will like the movie.

You can’t hate a film like Cocktail nor can you love it in totality.
